Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time patrol operations in Byram, MS. You will patrol retail locations, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Requirements include at least one year in security, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. The role is scheduled for daytime and evening shifts, with a pay rate of $13.50 per hour.

• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents and patrol observations accurately and promptly according to site procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and security‑related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
