Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Patrol) in Santa Clara, CA. You will patrol and safeguard a technology-focused site, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a calm, professional presence to deter incidents.

Position is full time with day-night shifts; pay is $22.00 per hour. You will monitor access, respond to alarms, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed, while upholding safety and integrity across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to identify conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures; maintain visitor and incident records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and coordinate with site contacts and responders.
• Assist with directing people and reporting maintenance or access-control concerns to the right personnel.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol License in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, addressing routine questions, and reporting maintenance, access-control, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
