Job summary

Allied Universal in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver with a strong customer service mindset to safeguard clients at a tech-focused facility. This full-time role combines unarmed driving with routine patrols, access monitoring, and incident response.

You will maintain daily activity reports, communicate with site leadership, and ensure compliance with site policies. A valid CA driver’s license and related licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, data center-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
