Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time patrol role at a residential location in Pittsburgh, PA. You will provide a visible security presence, assist residents and visitors, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional communication and a welcoming environment.

You will conduct regular unarmed patrols, observe access points, and document all activities. Requires 18+ (21+ for armed roles), HS diploma, background check, and possibly a driver’s license for driving

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security procedures and emergencies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and access issues in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, and entrances to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity per procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activity clearly and report to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. You will communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
