Job summary

Allied Universal in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time, on-site patrol at a commercial real estate location. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while enforcing site-specific security procedures and responding to emergencies.

You will conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, and parking areas, deter unauthorized activity, and document patrol logs and incident reports.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening required.
• Armed roles require 21+ years; unarmed roles require 18+.
• Licensing may be required; driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations following site procedures.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, property conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

• Mon – 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue – 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed – 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur – 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri – 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, property conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
