Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a corporate technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access concerns or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
