As a Security Officer Full Time - Overnight in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will maintain a visible presence, provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.


• Monitor and document the entry and exit of authorized vehicles, personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures.


• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, issue access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.


• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control/badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
