Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Entrance Monitor in West Columbia, SC. You will manage badge access, monitor entry points, greet visitors, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

The position is full-time with an hourly pay rate of $14.00. You will perform site patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents in a professional manner as part of a collaborative team.

You will manage badge access, monitor entry points, greet visitors, maintain a visible presence, and communicate professionally with employees and guests. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials and maintain required visitor and access records.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, gates, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, damaged access points, and security-related concerns; complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
