Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor management per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document observations and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to supervisors.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and support a welcoming environment.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and request additional assistance when needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
