Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken is seeking a qualified Security Officer to protect patients, staff and facilities across four hospitals. This role provides safety 24 hours a day, enforces access control, and responds to alarms and incidents in a patient‑centred environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, NJ driver’s license, and SORA license preferred; hospital security experience is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensures the protection of persons and property from harm as a result of acts of violations of laws, policy, procedures or regulatory requirements. Provides safety and security 24 hours a day.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reports all doors that are left open after hours or unattended offices
  • Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
  • Performs unit/building clock tours daily
  • Conducts security rounds for safety violations
  • Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
  • Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
  • Investigates all (police type) incident reports

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Valid NJ driver’s license required.
• Relevant work experience as Security required. Hospital setting experience preferred
