Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect persons and property within a unified healthcare network. The role requires vigilance, adherence to policies, and coordination with hospital staff to maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities include directing visitors, monitoring access and alarms, and conducting regular security rounds across four facilities. Prior security experience and a valid NJ driver’s license are preferred for this position.

• Relevant work experience in Security is required.

• Direct visitors, patients and vendors to correct locations and issue passes.
• Perform unit/building clock tours daily.
• Monitor cameras and alarms at command posts.
• Investigate security incidents and reports.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensures the protection of persons and property from harm as a result of acts of violations of laws, policy, procedures or regulatory requirements. Provides safety and security 24 hours a day.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reports all doors that are left open after hours or unattended offices
  • Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
  • Performs unit/building clock tours daily
  • Conducts security rounds for safety violations
  • Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
  • Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
  • Investigates all (police type) incident reports

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SORA license preferred.
• Valid NJ driver’s license required.
• Relevant work experience as Security required. Hospital setting experience preferred
