Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a chemical/petrochemical site through access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain entry records.
• Respond calmly to alarms, incidents, and security concerns and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, perimeters, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document activities, events, and observations per site procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, parking areas, and designated facilities to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
