Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Access Systems in Seadrift, TX. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access systems, and help deter security incidents at an industrial site.

You'll use computer or tablet systems, deliver customer service, perform routine patrols, and follow site procedures to keep employees and visitors safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) depending on role.

As a Security Officer Access Systems in Seadrift, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems, provide outstanding customer service, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly while helping to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Fri: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sat: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access authorization requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical manufacturing location.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, visitor credentials, contractor documentation, and authorization records before granting entry.
• Monitor access control systems, entry points, gates, and alarm notifications; document activity and report irregularities to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify conditions requiring attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
