Allied Universal in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Security Officer – Full Time Entry Control Driver to safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide exceptional customer service while using technology to document activity.

You must have a valid driver's license, at least 1 year in law enforcement or 3 years security experience, and be at least 18 (21 for armed roles).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 3 years of security experience.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document activity. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:30 PM - 04:30 AM
• Tue 04:30 PM - 04:30 AM
• Sun 04:30 PM - 04:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security‑related experience is required.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
