Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail location customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with directing visitors, supporting store operations during busy periods, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
