Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Driver License Patrol in San Jose, CA to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide strong customer service, supported by a valid driver’s license.

Position is Full Time with a pay rate of $22.25 per hour. Your shift pattern includes nighttime hours, and you will work to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and location policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the shopping center including parking areas and entrances.
• Observe and report unusual activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and communication with mall management.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver License Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shopping center, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and communication with mall management and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
