Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch - Transit in Seattle, WA. You will support transit operations by coordinating communications, monitoring activity, and providing exceptional customer service to passengers and staff.

Responsibilities include dispatching, incident response, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring safety and security across transit facilities and platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

As a Dispatcher supporting a public transportation location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, and relay timely information to personnel and stakeholders. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document security-related calls for service, and coordinate the timely assignment of field personnel and resources.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift activity reports in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor transit facilities, platforms, stations, and surrounding areas through available communication systems and cameras, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
