Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time for Transit in Seattle, WA. You will protect clients across multiple industries, providing vigilant security and responsive customer service.

The role supports a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform and includes dispatch duties for government transportation locations. As a part-time position, you will work day and night shifts with the potential to grow within Allied Universal's agile and trusted team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws; background histories considered.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit agency personnel, passengers, visitors, and/or contractors.
• Monitor radio, telephone, alarm, camera, and other communications systems; dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Document calls, incidents, service requests, and communications; maintain dispatch logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly; coordinate notifications to appropriate personnel and responders.
• Monitor activity across transit facilities and coordinate routine and emergency response activities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit agency personnel, passengers, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor radio, telephone, alarm, camera, and/or other communications systems; receive calls for service and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with established protocols.
• Document calls, incidents, service requests, and communications accurately and maintain detailed dispatch logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor activity across transit facilities and coordinate routine and emergency response activities to help deter unauthorized activity and support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
