Job summary

Allied Universal in Sterling, VA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Communications to safeguard clients at a financial institution. You will monitor alarm and access-control activity, coordinate responses, and maintain clear communication with personnel and emergency responders. Position Type: Full Time.

Pay Rate: $28.50 / Hour. Schedule includes day and night shifts, with weekend hours as shown.

Qualifications

• Two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document service requests, and coordinate the appropriate response to security-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, communicating relevant information to site personnel and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, helping to deter unauthorized activity and support orderly operations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Communications in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Professional supporting a financial institution, you will monitor alarm and access-control activity, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and maintain clear communication with personnel and emergency responders. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
