Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time - Asset Protection in Reno, NV to safeguard clients across tech, media, and telecom locations. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and report concerns while delivering excellent service.

The role is full-time with daytime shifts. Responsibilities include credential verification, access monitoring, incident response, and thorough documentation for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols to identify hazards and policy violations.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity and incident reports and communicate with leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
