Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace/defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, professional problem-solving and coordination with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain readiness and responsible control of assigned equipment, including firearms, following laws, training requirements, and company policies.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain required visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain readiness and responsible control of assigned equipment, including firearms, while following applicable laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
