Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is seeking an Armed Security Officer for an aerospace and defense site. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and report incidents.

You’ll deliver professional customer service, follow site procedures, and coordinate with emergency responders when needed. This full-time role pays $22.00 per hour, with a consistent evening schedule and room for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required armed post equipment and documentation, and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site-specific procedures.

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
