Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer to patrol and protect client sites in aerospace/defense environments. You will monitor access, respond to alarms, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires an armed guard card, at least three years of security-related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work daytime shifts including Thursday through Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and security-related protocols at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
