Allied Universal, Des Plaines, IL, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time - Afternoons to safeguard healthcare facilities and patients. You’ll perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare and laboratory environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements, including verification of credentials and adherence to restricted-area protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time - Afternoons in Des Plaines, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
