Allied Universal® in Elmwood Park, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Afternoons) to serve and safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and deliver courteous customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers a flexible schedule with afternoon shifts and opportunities to learn, grow, and earn more through the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrol findings, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
