Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time) for afternoons in Addison, IL. You will protect a distribution location, patrol premises, monitor access, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 18+ years old, and passing background checks and drug screening. Monday through Friday shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a pay rate of $17.08 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations, escalating as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for staff, visitors, and delivery personnel.
• Document observations and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while conducting routine patrols and reporting observations. Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including loading areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and employee entrances, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
