Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol Driver in Paramus, NJ to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors. You will conduct patrols, support access control, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service on a retail mall campus.

This role operates on a daytime to evening schedule with potential weekend shifts; a valid driver’s license is required and experience with badge systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, and exterior perimeters.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, directions, and inquiries.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and logs per site policies.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol Driver in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, directions, and inquiries while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
