Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Driver Patrol) near Clinton, NJ. You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors while patrolling the retail property, both on foot and by vehicle, to deter incidents and protect assets.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed. The position emphasizes strong communication, reporting, and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Access control and badge experience is preferred
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by law
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors by following site procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols to deter security incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and follow site procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate incident logs and patrol documentation.

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol near Clinton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

• Mon: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Tue: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Thur: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Fri: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
