Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver First Aid in Paramus, NJ. You will provide security and customer service to tenants and staff, patrol both on foot and by vehicle, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, minimum one year of security experience, and may require CPR/First Aid certification. This is a full-time position with a set evening schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal policy.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in mall common areas, parking areas, tenant corridors, entrances, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, hazards, and violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and crowd management during daily operations, promotions, and events.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver First Aid in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout mall common areas, parking areas, tenant corridors, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and crowd management during daily operations, promotions, and special events.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
