Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time) for an unarmed patrol in Alabaster, AL. You will monitor and safeguard clients across healthcare locations, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Role requires 2+ years of security experience, high school diploma, and ability to use a computer or tablet. Schedule includes multiple shifts, and compensation starts at $16.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
