• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain visitor, incident, and access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations calmly per site-specific protocols.
• Communicate observed hazards and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Full Time 1st Shift in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal’s driver policy. Pay Rate: $19.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities in a healthcare-related location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel and help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
