Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a full‑time role in Rapid City, SD. The position involves patrolling, access control, and maintaining a secure environment for client sites.

You will enforce site regulations, report hazards, and interact with client employees and guests. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential, with a calm demeanor during emergencies.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Rapid City, SD

Wage: $19.50/HR

Schedule: 42 Hours Per Week

• Mon - Wed: 7PM - 7AM (every other Thurs: 7PM - 7AM)

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Access control duties.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
