Job summary

Security Officer at Baptist Health Paducah is a full-time role with four days per week, including three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift. The schedule includes weekend coverage and rotating early shifts.

You will protect people and property, respond to calls, and enforce campus safety policies. Responsibilities include incident investigations, de-escalation of tense situations, fire checks, and steady campus patrols with parking and traffic control duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Must obtain BLS within 3 months of hire.
• Use of Force certification and Taser training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Answers all calls for service and responds accordingly.
• Investigates incidents, completes incident reports and communicates with authorities.
• Subdues and/or de-escalates high-stress, tense situations as needed.
• Performs monthly fire safety checks (Fire extinguishers and exit signs).
• Conducts routine foot patrols on the campus and issues parking violations and assists with traffic control.

Security Officer - Full Time### Security Officer - Full TimeApply: Paducah, KY: Full time: Posted Today: R26109184**Summary****Job Description:****Security Officer****Full Time, 4 Days/Week - Three 12 Hour Shifts and One 6 Hour Shift****6a-6p and Every Other Friday from Either 6a-12p or 12p-6p** **Schedule will also consist with part of the 12-hour shifts being every other weekend.**Provides security and protection to the person and property of those entering Baptist Health Paducah and secondary buildings associated with the operations of Baptist Health buildings, equipment, supplies, and report any misuse of any hospital buildings, equipment, and properties.**Job Duties:*** Answers all calls for service and answers questions concerning these calls or responds accordingly.* Investigates all incidents involving criminal matters, completes an incident report and reports such matters as appropriate to the proper authority.* Required to subdue and/or de-escalate high stress, tense situations involving combative person(s) for an unknown period of time.* Able to assist and complete required fire checks (Fire Extinguishers and Exit Signs on a monthly basis.)* Conducts routine internal and external foot patrols on the main campus and issue parking violations and assist with traffic control as needed.**Requirements:*** High School Diploma/GED* Driver’s License* Must obtain BLS within 3 months of hire.
