Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure environment across our hospital. Shift 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. involves patrols, monitoring access, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and courtesy.

You will conduct investigations, provide security escorts as needed, report unusual activity, and deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and employees. A high school diploma and a valid Kentucky driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid KY driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Good organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others and present a professional appearance.
• IAHSS certification preferred.

In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to maintain a safe secure environment within the healthcare facility. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance, respond to emergencies, and facilitate conflict resolution

Reports out-of-the ordinary activity in and around the hospital/grounds

Respond to security and safety related emergencies

Conducts investigations and completes reports

Provides security escorts as needed

Excellent customer service toward patients, families, and employees

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification preferred.
