Job summary

Allied Universal in Bensenville, IL is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time to protect clients at a technology-focused location. You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and provide courteous service while following site procedures.

This role requires minimum age, HS diploma, background check, drug screen, and licenses where required. The schedule features several daytime and evening shifts with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately using required reporting tools and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
