Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Carol Stream, IL. You will provide customer service, monitor access, perform patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying visitor, contractor and delivery credentials and document incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and request assistance as needed.
• Report hazards, unusual activity, maintenance concerns and policy violations to site leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecommunications location, including business areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures; maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and request assistance from appropriate personnel when needed.
• Report hazards, unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
