Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Guard Card in Washington, DC. You will monitor facilities, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence across educational locations.

This role requires at least 2 years of security experience and a high school diploma. Position Type: Full Time; Pay Rate: $24.06 / Hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience are required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of educational facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and information, and maintain a professional presence.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and communicate information to leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Guard Card in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of educational facilities, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and information, and maintain a professional presence throughout the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated location personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
