Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Screening) in Washington, DC. You will monitor client sites, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service at a financial institution.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience required.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background check as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and guests at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and access control concerns in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and direct visitors per site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Screening in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, help to deter incidents, and support access control and screening activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $24.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or guests at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business operations spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and direct visitors in accordance with established site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
