Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Access Credential Driver in North Chesterfield, VA. The role includes access control at a chemical/petrochemical site, issuing passes, and monitoring entry points with a strong customer-service focus.

Position type is full time with a schedule Mon–Fri 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, paying $18.56/hour. Benefits include retirement, health coverage, and exclusive perks; background checks and drug screening

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while controlling access at a chemical/petrochemical site.
• Verify credentials, issue passes, maintain entry records, and direct individuals per site rules.
• Respond calmly to alarms, incidents, and access concerns per procedure.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points and restricted areas to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document daily activities and incidents according to site reporting procedures.

As a Security Officer Access Credential Driver in North Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. Pay Rate: $18.56 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing individuals according to site requirements.
• Respond to access control concerns, alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, access exceptions, and observations in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
