Job summary

Allied Universal in Lakeland, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Front Desk to provide reliable, on-site security and customer service at the designated site. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, monitor access, answer calls, and document incidents as part of a flexible schedule with fixed anchor shifts and optional additional shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in security, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and communicate visitor arrivals, deliveries, and driver check-ins to site contacts.
• Monitor front-desk communications, alarms, and/or camera systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
