Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Lakeland, FL. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our platform, enabling higher earnings and broader site exposure.

You will provide front desk customer service, manage access control, and respond to incidents while maintaining safety and compliance at a logistics/distribution site. Minimum requirements apply.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and drug screen administered.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk of a logistics and distribution location following site procedures.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials and issuing visitor badges.
• Receive, document, and route deliveries, shipments, calls, and inquiries per location procedures.
• Monitor security systems and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Part Time Reception in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and team members at the front desk of a logistics and distribution location while following site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Monitor and control access by verifying visitor and driver credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Receive, document, and route deliveries, shipments, calls, and inquiries in accordance with location procedures.
• Monitor security‑related systems, alarms, and communications from the front desk and report unusual activity or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities and notifying designated contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
