Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Welcome Desk in Lakeland, FL. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, providing flexible hours and income potential.

Pay Rate: $14.90 / Hour. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, verifying IDs, monitoring access points, and supporting logistics operations with professional communication and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Serve as the front desk point of contact by greeting visitors, verifying identification and access authorization, maintaining visitor records, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points, incoming communications, and assigned security-related systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Support shipping, receiving, and office operations by communicating professionally with delivery personnel and assisting with controlled access to designated areas.

As a Security Officer - Welcome Desk in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
