Allied Universal in Lakeland, FL is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide security and customer service across a single site. This role offers reliable hours and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (unarmed) or 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization and issuing credentials.
• Monitor entry/exit points, delivery areas, and employee access points to deter unauthorized access and support site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding areas and document observations.

As a Security Officer - Entry Oversight in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

• Tue 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the food and beverage facility by verifying visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization; issuing and collecting credentials; and maintaining required access records.
• Monitor entry and exit points, delivery areas, and employee access points to help deter unauthorized access and support site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter; document observations and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
