Allied Universal in Lakeland, FL seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part-Time Front Desk to provide reliable, courteous service at the site with a fixed shift and opportunities to pick up extra hours.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check is required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and communicate visitor arrivals, deliveries, and driver check-ins to site contacts.
• Monitor front desk communications, alarms, and/or camera systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.

Role Summary

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.90 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
