Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, notifying site contacts or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, entrances, and perimeters to identify unusual activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist with loss prevention activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while reporting security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, customer, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
