Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Santa Ana, CA. This role features fixed anchor shifts at a designated site with a six-month commitment, plus an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift option to pick up additional shifts across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by law.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, collection areas, public spaces, entry points, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist visitors with directions and site information.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and report observations.
• Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations according to site requirements.

Pay Rate:

$23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, collection areas, public spaces, entry points, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and help support a welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
