The position offers a pay rate of $15.91 per hour, with a schedule including evenings and overnight shifts; candidates gain hands-on experience in security operations and customer service at a designated site.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization, deter unauthorized entry.
• Document patrol observations and incidents, reporting to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Flex Part Time Patrol in Haywood, WV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 09:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted operational areas.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
