Allied Universal in Mission Viejo, CA is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced (Flex) to provide reliable security services at a hospital site. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings and gain hands-on experience with the industry leader. You will deliver patient and visitor support, respond to alarms and incidents, patrol facility interiors and exteriors, monitor access points, and document daily activities and shift communications.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Background check and drug screen as part of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

As a Security Officer Flex Part Time Hospital Patrol Driver in Mission Viejo, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility interior and exterior areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
