Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at a healthcare facility in Rancho Mirage, CA. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to grow your schedule.

Pay rate is $22.00 per hour. This position emphasizes patient, visitor, and staff safety with strict screening and security procedures, while providing dependable part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Be able to work in a hospital environment and meet healthcare setting requirements.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Screen individuals entering designated areas in accordance with established protocols, including verifying access requirements and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items by conducting required screening activities and maintaining awareness of entry‑point activity.
• Document screening-related incidents, observations, and concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be willing to comply with hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
