As a Security Officer Flex GSOC Operatorin Irvine, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities for a residential apartment community.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, cameras, and communications systems; dispatch appropriate personnel and document incidents, service requests, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating relevant information to onsite personnel, first responders, and management as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, visitor and vendor records, and other required documentation while protecting confidential information.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned residential property areas and perimeters, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
